This oar tongue is a detailed replica of a find from the Swedish island of Gotland from the Viking Age, dating between the 9th and 10th centuries.

Belt tongues of this type were common on Gotland, but were rather uncommon on the Scandinavian mainland. They were attached to the end of a leather belt, for reinforcement and decoration.

An authentic accessory for those who want to portray the Viking Age, suitable for belts.
