This beautifully broken distribution plate is a replica of a find from an excavation in Latvia, with holes for up to seven chains.

Between about 700 and 1000 AD. fibulae worn in pairs with a chain divider were an important part of Viking Age women's dress; Such finds are therefore common in women's graves in Northeastern Europe, especially in Finland, the Baltic region and Gotland. For attachment to a shell fibula, a S-hook recommended. The price applies per piece; order two pieces for a pair.
