Product description
This filigree designed disc fibula with granulation decor is based on a find from the Viking Age of the 10th-11th century. This type of jewelry was especially popular in Slavic areas, where silversmiths were able to create small works of art with simple means.
Performed in silvered bronze, with a diameter of 2.3 cm. In the historic originals, small pearls and fine silver threads were placed by hand on a basic shape soldered; Our representation is cast in one piece, showing off the filigree image to its best advantage. Thanks to the eye on the back you can see the fibula can also be worn as a pendant.
A nice addition to your Viking Age reenactment equipment.
