Product description
Drinking horns were already employed in antiquity by the Greeks and Romans, and during the Middle Ages drinking horns held a ritual and ceremonial function. The drinking horn is crafted from natural horn that has been selected for a darker colour. It is decorated with the Midgaard serpent, or Jormungandr. According to the Edda, Midgaard's serpent circles the earth and bites its own tail. As soon as he releases his tail, Ragnarok starts. This horn may be filled with no less than 0.5 litres of your favourite drink! The exterior has been polished to a smooth, luxurious surface and engraved with an organic pattern. The interior has been treated to render it suitable for drinking, and a wax coating has been applied for extra durability. The drinking horn is particularly well-suited to festivals, re-enactment, LARP, or simply a night on the settee.
