Product description
The leg protectors are crafted from 2 mm thick steel plates connected to one another with leather straps, following the design of an arm protector found in Valsgärde. Similar protection was in all likelihood also worn for the legs. Protection of this kind was employed at least in early medieval Scandinavia, and may have been worn throughout Northern Europe. The plates measure 42 cm in length and are easily adjusted to size. These shin guards are well-suited to reenactment.
