The leg armour has been crafted after a vambrace found in Valsgärde. Researchers suspect that early medieval leg armour followed a similar design. Greaves of this type were employed in early medieval Scandinavia and possibly throughout the north of Europe. Delivered as a pair, these greaves feature a distinctive bronzed black finish for an additional authentic appearance. Particularly well-suited to Viking re-enactors and LARPers, the armour protects the lower legs and may be fastened securely with three leather straps. The vertical steel strips offer sound protection for the lower legs, whilst an optimal freedom of movement is maintained.
