The Viking horn cup is crafted from beautifully smooth polished dark horn and is decorated with an Icelandic Vegvisir. The Vegvisir is a symbol from the Icelandic Huld manuscript, a 19th century occult book of spells. Vegvisir means: that which shows the way. Whoever wore this magical symbol would not get lost during a storm. It is not known whether the early medieval Vikings were familiar with this symbol. However, in modern Viking culture and amongst neopagans it is an essential symbol and has been given a new modern context. This cup is well-suited to reenactment and LARP events, for festivals or relaxing at home on the sofa. The cup has a capacity of 0.5 litres, so it exactly fits a large bottle of beer. It has officially been approved for consumption of cold drinks, and is therefore also suitable for the catering industry and restaurants. This horn drinking cup has been fitted with an ear for holding it or hanging it from a belt holder.
