Product description
The Viking horn cup is crafted from beautifully smooth, polished, light-coloured horn and is decorated with an Icelandic Vegvisir. The Vegvisir is a symbol from the Icelandic Huld manuscript, a 19th-century occult book of spells. Vegvisir means: that which shows the way. Whoever wore this magical symbol would not get lost during a storm. It is not known whether the early medieval Vikings were familiar with this symbol. Amongst modern Viking culture and for neopagans, however, it has become an essential symbol and has been given a new modern context. This cup is well-suited to reenactment and LARP events, festivals, or relaxing at home on the couch. The cup has a capacity of 0.5 litres, meaning it exactly fits a large bottle of beer! It has officially been approved for consumption of cold drinks, making it well-suited to the catering industry and restaurants alike. This horn drinking cup features an ear for holding it or hanging it from a belt holder.
