This broken divider plate with floral ornament is a detailed replica of a Viking Age find from Latvia. There are holes on the bottom edge for up to seven chains, although you can also attach fewer.

In the Viking Age, bead or chain dividers were attached to a pair of shell fibulae and connected to multiple, sometimes remarkably long, chains worn one above the other — an important part of women's costume in northeastern Europe, especially in Finland, the Baltic region and Gotland.
