The Viking tent is based upon excavations at Oseberg and Gokstad. Several theories exist regarding the use of such tents. They may have been employed solely for Althing, or as a market tent. Viking tents, unlike their medieval counterparts, have the advantage of not requiring pegs. This tent is delivered without a frame. The wooden frame is straightforward to construct yourself, and you may give it your own twist — for example, by decorating it with woodcarvings or a cut-out shape at the end. The choice is yours!
