Product description
Tunics of this kind were basic garments worn by men from the Early to Late Middle Ages throughout Europe. They may be worn separately or as an undertunic. In cold climates they were combined with trousers and leg wrappings. In certain eras, the length of the tunic designated the social status of the wearer. In Ancient Rome, the tunic was worn in an airy, simple style with a basic design. The Vikings and Germanic peoples wore their tunics less airily, with an undertunic, long sleeves, trousers and leg wrappings against the cold.
