Product description
Spearheads of this type were employed from the early Middle Ages to the Renaissance. This particular spearhead is quite a nasty piece of work. Originally, such heads were intended for hunting: when the spear was thrown at a boar, the spearhead dug into the skin, and the wings prevented it from being easily removed. This principle was also applied in warfare.
The spearhead is supplied without a shaft. It is well-suited to reconstructions of Vikings, Normans, fifteenth-century soldiers and more.
