Product description
This pouch is a replica of a find from a boy's grave in Birka (grave Bj 819, Adelsö Parish, Uppland), one of Sweden's most important Viking trading settlements.
Of the original item, mainly the lid has been preserved, as the leather of the bag itself had largely deteriorated, with a hole pattern and details in white metal, particularly silver. This reproduction is made of 2 mm thick, unlined leather in brown tone, with a decorative brass panel on the front flap framed by sheet steel and fastened with small nails. The pouch closes at the bottom with a strap and leather cord.
A nice addition to your Viking outfit, suitable for medieval markets, re-enactment, living history or LARP events, and at the same time a handy bag for contemporary items you want to carry with you. The pouch fits on belts up to approx. 4 cm wide.
