Product description
The replica has been crafted after the sword of the English knight Sir William Marshall, Earl of Pembroke, who lived between 1146 and 1219. The sword is a light, well-balanced type XIa which primarily functioned as a cavalry weapon. The blade is constructed from carbon steel with a hardness of 52–54 HRC. It has a length of 101 cm, with a blade of 84 cm, and weighs approximately 1 kg. The blade is sharp. The point of balance is situated approximately 20 cm below the cross-guard; the advantage being that greater force can be put into the sword's blows.
This sword is an Oakeshott type Xa.
