The Valknut is based on a woodcut found in Oseberg in Norway. The Valknut is sometimes depicted on Viking stones, principally alongside the god Odin, and is consequently sometimes known as the Odin's knot or Wodans' knot. These wooden Valknuts are painted black on both sides. This wood carving is a fine work of art for your wall and makes a distinctive gift. You may optionally paint or stain the wood should you wish to hang it in the garden. The carvings may also be placed against a wall, on a home altar, on a bookshelf, or in any number of other settings.
