Product description
The buckler is a small shield, often crafted from wood or metal, with a shield boss as reinforcement in the centre. It was used from the thirteenth to the seventeenth century, encompassing the Middle Ages and the Renaissance. During close combat with a rapier, knife, dagger, or sword, the buckler was employed in combination to deflect attacks from the opponent, or to attack and strike the opponent with force.
This LARP buckler has been painted in a lifelike manner and resembles the originals, with a wooden surface and a metal shield boss. On the reverse it features a handle wrapped in leather, permitting a firm and comfortable grip. An essential attribute for your historic LARP character during battles.
