Product description
Most of the Roman archers were recruited in the eastern, oriental regions. As such, many tombs and inscriptions depict them wearing helmets with eastern influences — amongst these is this helmet, which is very similar to the Slavic helmet type. The helmet is crafted from steel with brass decoration, and features brass cheek and neck protection. As the coin-shaped plates overlap one another and are sewn onto suede leather, additional protection is afforded.
The helmet is supplied complete with a cotton arming cap and weighs 2.9 kg. It is well-suited to a head circumference of up to 60 cm.
