LARP Naginata

Product description

The naginata is a pole weapon traditionally used by the Japanese samurai. The weapon consisted of a wooden shaft with a curved blade attached to it, more or less comparable to the European glaive. The weapon was employed from around the seventh or eighth century AD and after the seventeenth century it fell temporarily out of use until modern times. This weapon was used to slay horses on the battlefield.

This LARP weapon has been painted in a lifelike manner so that the blade resembles a real metal naginata with golden details. The grip is wrapped with leather so that it may be held comfortably in the hand. The weapon is particularly well-suited to Asian LARP characters and to theatre.
