The naginata is a pole weapon traditionally used by the Japanese samurai. The weapon consisted of a wooden shaft with a curved blade attached to it, more or less comparable to the European glaive. The weapon was used from around the seventh or eighth century AD and after the seventeenth century it became temporarily out of use until modern times. This weapon was used to slay horses on the battlefield.
This LARP weapon is painted lifelike so that the blade looks like a real metal naginata with golden details. The grip is wrapped with leather so that you can hold it comfortably in your hand. This is a perfect weapon for Asian LARP characters and for theater.
