LARP Norman shield wolf

The LARP shield is based on historical Norman shields. Originally crafted for cavalrymen, they were also popular amongst ordinary foot soldiers, who could employ them to protect their forelegs. Shields of this type were carried during the conquest of England. The shield is beautifully and lifelikely painted, so that it appears to be constructed from vertical wooden planks painted white, through which the grain of the wood remains visible. It is decorated with a howling wolf. At the back, three pairs of straps permit the shield to be held on both arms and in a variety of ways.
