The gambeson is well-suited to re-enactment and LARP, offering reliable protection. The sleeves are removable, and the garment is fastened by means of leather straps. It reaches to the hips. Constructed from layers of cotton canvas with polyester padding, the gambeson is stitched in vertical lines in the European medieval style. An upward collar is featured at the neck. It may be worn in combination with a padded collar and arming cap for more optimal protection of the head and neck. The gambeson is also available in larger sizes.
