Product description
Parchment has been employed since classical antiquity. The parchment is crafted from sheepskin that was traditionally treated and processed. Making parchment was an expensive and complicated process. This is why it was only utilised for luxurious and important writings. Making a medieval psalter required sometimes more than 250 sheep or cows and cost many years of work.
The parchment is completely handmade and measures 20 x 30 cm.
