A veil is one of those silent basics that complete a medieval outfit. Christian views on chastity meant that married women were expected to cover their hair, and the more elaborate the veil and the accompanying pins, the more clearly this underlined the status of a noble lady.
This veil is made of light, plain woven fabric cotton and is cut rectangular, which gives plenty of room for different ways of wearing: let it fall loosely for a simple look, or neatly fold and pin for a neater result. The included matching strap keeps everything firmly in place, even during a long day at an event.
Combine the veil with a coif, streamer or diadem, depending on the character you portray. Machine washable and easy to reshape after washing. Suitable for re-enactment, living history and LARP.
