In the eighteenth century, the tricorne, a hat with three folded edges, was the distinguishing mark of both sea and land: from pirates and captains to musketeers, highwaymen and wealthy citizens. By the early nineteenth century the shape fell out of fashion, but it remains instantly recognizable on any historical or fanciful costume. This tricorn brings back that iconic triangular shape in a sturdy, portable version.

The hat is made of real leather, that gives structure to the shape while remaining flexible enough to wear comfortably all day long. The more you use the hat, it will soften leather and develops its own patina with folds and signs of use. Colour: black.

This hat is available in sizes S, M/L and XL and lends itself to pirates, musketeers and noblemen from the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries, and is just as suitable for LARP, re-enactment and theater as for an evening of dressing up.
