Product description

This fibula is a replica of a 5th century original excavated in Pannonia, West Hungary. These fibulae were worn in pairs on the shoulders by Germanic ladies. A necklace with beads or other jewelry was often attached between these brooches. Brooches like this were spread all over Europe and North Africa by the Roman legions.They often consisted of more than 50% Germanic auxiliae around the end of the empire.
