Medieval braies and chausses

The braies were the underpants of the Middle Ages. Chausses were worn over the braies: these are separate trouser legs. With braies and chausses you make a truly authentic medieval costume for reenactment and living history. Two different colours of chausses were often worn over the braies, which was fashionable.

Medieval undergarments

Braies were often worn under trousers and under their tunic men wore an undergarment. If you are making a medieval costume for LARP or reenactment, you can use the undergarments to contrast with the colour of the tunic and chausses. Combine different colours for a stunning costume!
